Featuring the Single Friend Who Definitely Found Great Expectations
For one, I cannot say I’m exactly comfortable as an “independent” (aka: naturally single) person and not crack a smile. Even then, I’m not unsatisfied in that way, either. I only bring it up in this blog as a delicious little tidbit setting up the story I am prepared to reveal to you
This time last week I met for coffee with Sandy, pondering about joining a Dallas Singles dating service. You prolly couldn’t guess that, I write to each of you as a delightfully single member of the singles network. No kidding, and I almost don’t believe it myself! I like it! If you have read my old blog, you’re probably thinking, “Stop blabbering and tell me about it already.”
So, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and felt encouraged. They’re for the serious singles who know dating should mean something.
Quite frankly, I’d never enjoyed or even tolerated the ridiculous nightlife ritual my friends and my family have christened “The Dating Experience.” I faced it more than you know. Each night people nagg, “Are you two serious yet?” and “Oh I know just the guy for you!”
“That’s rubbish,” I reply, without missing a beat. “There’s nothing to date!”
“You’re as ridiculous as you are hilarious,” they reply. “That’s just an excuse for your cynicism.”
Thankfully, that’s my partner in crime (on a good day) hah! Stacey Wilson. She beams common sense directly to my core to put me back on course. Loved ones never fail to offer perspective. She made a good point, and I joined.
Coming home to the message of this blog entry. As I browsed from more than three hundred quality singles for my first date with Great Expectations, I acknowledged something deep. For years, I hadn’t held too many literal great expectations for dating in the adventurous path of this world. It’s good to be single, specifically when you get out there and have fun. Holding great expectations does wonders on a cynics social life.
